LeRoy F. White Jr, 87, of Chittenango, passed away peacefully on September 18th, 2021.
Born in DeKalb Junction, New York on September 4th, 1934, Leroy was a veteran of the U.S. Army for which he was very proud. He retired from the railroad after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a lifetime member of the VFW post #8440.
In his spare time, LeRoy loved tinkering with vehicles, houses, and gadgets. His favorite past time was spending time with his family and 4 small grandchildren. Most notably, he loved Sundays, a day of getting together and enjoying pancakes. He was a man who enjoyed throwing a good party and having fun with friends. If you needed something, he was always there to lend a helping hand.
LeRoy was predeceased by his parents, LeRoy Sr. and Hazel Ada; by two brothers, Merton and Leo; one sister, Shirley; and one daughter Bonnie.
He is survived by his sister, Loretta; his ex-wife, Juanita; and their combined children, Brenda (Joe), LeRoy III (Keri), and Juanita (Phil); his loving spouse of 42 years, Cindy; and their combined children, Karissa (Levi), Kelly (Eric), and bonus child Tabatha (John); 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
LeRoy will be remembered for his sense of humor, and big heart.
A private ceremony will be held for family at a later date.
As LeRoy would say "You can't eat flowers", so in lieu of flowers donations can be made to The South Russell Cemetery Association at 1622 Cr 17 Hermon, NY 13652 or the American Lung Association at 1661 Worcester Road Suite 301 Framingham, MA 01701.
