Leonard P. "Lennie" Fairfield, 40, of Cicero, New York died Friday, September 30, 2011 at home following a long illness.
Lennie was very active in youth baseball and basketball from coaching to mentoring children of all ages. He was member of the Corvette Club of Syracuse and a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.
Surviving are his wife of 12 years the former Tammi Lohr; three children, Nicholas, Dominick and Arabella Fairfield; his parents, Linda (Tom Kianka) Orlando Fairfield of N. Syracuse and Leonard (Marion) Fairfield of Cape Carteret, NC; sister, Lyn (Farouk Ibrahim) Fairfield of Cicero; in-laws, Russell and Penny Lohr and Donna (Jim Joseph) Garvey; brother-in-law, Justin Lohr; sister-in-law, Rusty (Matt) Bice; nieces and nephews, Katrina Fairfield, Zak and Farouk Ibrahim, Makenzie, Madison and Landon Bice.
Services will be Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale, New York. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 4:00 -7:00 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main Street, North Syracuse, New York.
