Leonard E. Cormier Sr.

Leonard E. Cormier Sr., 90, of Liverpool passed away Friday. Born in Malone, NY on June 23, 1919. Leonard moved to Syracuse in 1932 and was a resident of North Syracuse since 1952. He retired from Bristol Meyers in 1976 as an Operational Supervisor in the finishing department and was a member of the Bristol Quarter Century Club. He was a WWII Navy veteran, serving aboard the destroyer USS Cole, as a gunners mate, and was a member of the VFW Post 9596 in Collamer, NY. He was predeceased by his first wife of 44 years, Margaret E. (Gage) Cormier.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his children, Leonard III(Mary), Diana Stagnitti, Roxanne (Harold) Wiemeier and Marc (Carol); his stepchildren, Cindy (Craig) Kachline, Gary(Jane Ingerson) Barkowski; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild ; several nieces and nephews
Services will be private for the family. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery
