Lenna Andy Emond

October 30, 1972 — October 31, 2024

Jamesville

Lenna "Andy" Emond of Jamesville born on October 30, 1972, in Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away far too soon on October 31, 2024, just a day after her 52nd birthday.

Lenna now joins her mother Irene Shaffer, Step-father Russell Shaffer, as well as her brother, John Andy III in eternal peace. She leaves behind her father, John Andy Jr; sister, Karena Davenport; daughter, Danielle (Brad) LaChapelle; grandson, Bentley; granddaughter, Raelynn; cat, Moo; best friend, Robin; her loving and devoted partner, Eric Anderson, who cherishes the time they had together; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends all of whom she loved beyond measure.

Lenna lived a life of simplicity and sincerity and wished the same for her departure. In Honor of Lenna's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. However, honoring her memory with a quiet moment of reflection, perhaps while sipping on a Keystone Light would surely bring a smile to her face. Her family and friends will celebrate her life privately in small meaningful ways that truly mattered to her, each holding onto their own cherished memories.

Lenna enjoyed watching football--especially the Cowboys, expressing herself through her nails, watching her soaps religiously, spending time with her grandkids, camping with her boyfriend, listening to music and drinking with friends and family. Leaving behind a legacy of compassion and empathy that few could match. She was the person friends would turn to when they needed a true listener. Her generosity for giving to those in need no matter how little she had and her ability to listen without judgment made even the hardest of days a little softer for her loved ones and friends--a rare gift in today’s world. Though she acknowledged the struggles and imperfections of her journey, Lenna found relief in being unapologetically herself. She faced her battles with an open heart, often feeling lost, but forever trying to hold onto the hope that tomorrow might be a little kinder to everyone. Lenna's compassion touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

In the closing notes of her life, Lenna leaves us with thoughts reflecting her inner journey. Through the trials and tribulations of her life, she sought to hold on to anything that brought her peace, acknowledging the imperfections of her journey and searching for relief. We are drawn to her parting words and favorite verse of a Jelly Roll Song "I’m not okay, but its all gonna be alright, its not okay, but its all gonna be alright"
