Leigh Robert Jones, 87, of Baldwinsville, previously of Kirkwood, NY, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on May 4, 2023.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Eleanor of 66 years; his children, Deborah (James), Rebecca (James), Jonathan (Eileen) and Laura (Anthony). He will be greatly missed by his 10 grandchildren, Christine (David), Jamie (Adam), Thomas James (Erica), Corey, Kyle, Brandon, Zachary, Katelynn, Nicholas, Karleigh; his 6 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Jack (Carole) and James; his sister, Linda (William); sisters-in-law, Eloise, Marjorie (David), Barbara, and Carolyn; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his son, Steven; parents, Dorothy Jones and John F. Jones; his brother, Charles and sister-in-law Joan; and brothers-in-law, Richard and Alan.
Leigh wore many hats in his life. When it came to anything needing to be fixed, he was an out of the box thinker. He was a masterful auto body repairman and antique car restorer.
Leigh lived for his family and always put them first. He instilled a strong work ethic with which he was raised. He spent many years with his family traveling, camping, attending flea markets, car shows, and volunteering at his Church or at the Northeast Classic Car Museum.
Interment of his ashes will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend a sincere Thank You to our "Special Hospice Angels" from Hospice of CNY.
