LeRoy Simmons, 87, of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday, at Loretto Health & Rehabilitation Center. LeRoy retired after 32 years of service from Carrier Corp. He is a WWII Army veteran. He is predeceased by his daughter, Francine Simmons and siblings, Eric Simmons and Violet Shay.

LeRoy leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Simmons; daughter, Regina (Leonard) Martin; son, Reginald (Lysa) Simmons; and grand daughter, Erica (Mario) Johnson; brother, Donald Acosta; sisters, Gloria McLaughlin, Doris Nance; god daughter, Donna Berry; four additional grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services are Tuesday at 12 noon in Bethany Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Friends can visit with his family at the church on Tuesday from 10-12noon.

Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Bethany Baptist Mortgage Fund.
