Lawrence "Larry" Creig Jones, 69, of Syracuse, NY passed away April 29, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born in Syracuse, New York on May 2, 1952 to Charles Jones and Ethel Payrot. He served in the United States Army and married Debra Jessie Jones on October 16th 1976. Larry worked as a laundry tech for Loretto Nursing Home for 19 years. He enjoyed fishing, golf, bowling, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by Father, Charles Jones; Mother, Ethel Payrot; brothers, Leland and Darryl Payrot; and sisters Frances Pagen and Verna Cayen.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Debra Jones; son, Allen; daughters Carlita (James), Susan (Angelo), Samantha (Chris), and Judy (Dennis); 11 grandchildren, Angelo (Arianna), Dominic, Mikayla, Payton, Nadya, Logan, Harlon, Breanna, Brooke, Kaitlyn, and Khloe; one great grandson, Adonis; sister Darlene (Charlie) Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 5th, 2022 from 2-4PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals with a funeral service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to https://gofund.me/9648e5a9. The family wishes to extend their most sincere thank you's to Upstate Cancer Center and Hospice of CNY .
