Lawrence J. "Larry" Shaffer, of Jamesville, passed away Thursday after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was an avid golfer and member of Dutch Hollow Country Club. He was a lifelong fan of the N.Y. Yankees.
Predeceased by his father, Richard L. Shaffer.
Survivors include his mother, Aline M. Shaffer; his sister, Adrienne H. Dooher; his brother, Michael D. Shaffer; an aunt, Thora Schram; his nephew, George B. III (Lauren) Dooher; his niece/goddaughter, Melissa A. (Matthew) Ossenfort and many cousins.
Calling hours will be 5-8PM on Tuesday at New Comer Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 11am Wed. also at the funeral home. Burial at White Chapel Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VA Syracuse or the American Cancer Society.
