Lawrence E. "Fitz" Fitzgerald , 86, of Fairmount, passed away on Saturday at Bishop Rehabilitation in Syracuse. He was born in Cortland on July 15, 1935 son of the late Edward and Verna Fitzgerald. He served in the US Marine Corps.and retired from US Postal Service after 37 years.He was a member of the Marines Corps. League , Elks Lodge #31, American Legion (Tipp Post). He was an avid NY Yankee and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He enjoyed bowling, golf and pitch.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 62 years Gloria J. Fitzgerald, son, Brian Fitzgerald, brother-in-law, Robert (Kathy) Miano of Rochester, 4 nephews and one niece.
