Up in the sky, look: It's a bird. It's a plane. It's Ralphie!
In the endless reaches of the universe, there existed a superman whose mental and physical powers were developed to the absolute peak of human perfection. There came a day when an ugly kryptonite threatened to destroy our Man of Steel. Faster than a speeding Jeep, more powerful than a herd of squirrels, able to summit Mount Marcy in a single bound... our Ralphie defeated his greatest foe by soaring to the heavens his way. Peacefully, in the blink of an eye, he decided to fly on March 21.
He longs to be reunited with those he left on earth: his wife Sara Westcott, "the boy" Julio, "the girl" Alex, Ma and Fred, Gabe, Avery (his little French Girl), Ma and Pa, Donnie, Gidge, Ret, Bobo, Pammy Sue, his stunt double and #1 son Gump, Nikki, Doodle, Tink, Sammie, Shawn, Gucky, Breck, Cate, his family at HMR, his faithful cavemen and so many family members and friends. We all knew what he loved... hiking, fishing, hunting, planting his garden and being on the farm. His greatest gift to us is that he taught us how to live... Like a superhero.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 7PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: The SUNY-ESF Ranger School, 257 Ranger School Road, Wanakena, NY 13695.
