Laurie "Larry" Glover

Laurie "Larry" Glover, of Olar, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday.
He was born January 14, 1925 in Bamburg, South Carolina to Thomas and Pretio Glover.
While in Olar, Larry attended Jean Branch School and Ebenezer Methodist Church. He also worked as a farmer in Olar as a young child. He then moved to Syracuse in 1968 and began working for Atlas Linen in 1969. He retired from Atlas in 1990.
He loved fishing. Larry was a people person and loved to talk.
He was predeceased by parents; wife, Mary Alice Glover; his son, Laurie Glover Jr. and 8 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his children, Camiel Perry, Johnny Glover and Mary (Frank) Johnson; three step-children, Brenda Williams, Robert Williams and Louis Andrew Williams; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 5 brothers and 1 sister, Buster Glover, Otto Glover, Floyd Glover, Donald Glover, Lenny (Carolyn) Glover, Earl (Louis) Glover and Deloris Williams and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 11-1pm with service at 1pm Friday Mar. 28 at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.
He is deeply loved.
