Laura C. Shaver, 47, of Liverpool, originally of West Babylon, NY, passed away on Tuesday after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on October 23, 1969 in Queens, NY, daughter of Richard and Phyllis Black. She was a special education teacher for many years. Laura enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. On July 26, 2003 she was united in marriage to Donald W. Shaver in Baldwinsville.
Surviving are her husband Donald W. Shaver, her son, William R. Shaver, her parents Richard and Phyllis, her brother, Jeffrey Black, mother-in-law, Bonnie Shaver, sister-in-law, Amie (Stephen) Nadelen, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents; Gilda and Alfred Santa Lucia, paternal grandparents; Michael and Elizabeth Black, father-in-law, William Shaver.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday 11am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Baldwinsville.
