Kevin S. Rayder

Kevin S. Rayder, 58, of Williamstown, passed away on Saturday at Upstate Hospital surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was born on August 26, 1956 in Oneida, son of the late Leonard and Sarah Rayder. Kevin worked as a carpenter in several states including, New York, Georgia and Florida. Kevin played softball for the Pine Grove Inn at Panther Lake, NY and he was an avid NY Giants Fan. He was also locally famous for his barbeque chicken.
Surviving are his beloved son, Jacob I. Rayder, his former wife and friend Christine Matthews, 3 sisters: Virginia "Dixie" (Edward) LaBreck, Elizabeth "Libby" (Edward) Johst, Winnie (Michael) McCullagh, with whom he resided, brother David (Jane) Rayder, his aunt, Dorothy Greindl , lifelong friends, Frank Wilkinson and Jeff Comstock, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held 1:30 pm on Saturday September 27, 2014 at the Williamstown American Legion, Vida Dr., with Pastor William Bryant officiating.
