Kevin D. Boyle

May 13, 1959 — February 23, 2021

Kevin D. Boyle, 61, of West Monroe passed away at home February 23, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. The infamous "Boyle Strength" helped him fight a courageous battle with cancer until the very end.

Kevin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Nothing made him happier than spending quality time with his family, particularly with his children and grandchildren, which he did as often as he could. His big heart and sense of humor brought a smile to everyone's face.
For the past 12 years, Kevin was employed at Meyers of Syracuse and very rarely did he miss a day of work. In fact, he worked up until the very day of his diagnosis. He was always an extremely hard worker. He told stories of working at Boy Scout Camp as a teenager. As years passed, he became a jack-of-all-trades, working in junkyards, doing masonry work, construction, and trailer/vehicle repairs.
Kevin loved working with his hands and you could always find him building or repairing something. One of his proudest achievements was building his own house with the help of his sons.

Although he grew up in the city, Kevin was a country boy at heart. He enjoyed camping at Old Forge and Selkirk Shores and absolutely loved being near the water. His favorite vacation was a trip to Virginia Beach. Kevin also made sure every family reunion was at a beach. However, one year, the family all went to Alexandria Bay for a boat tour and a trip to Boldt Castle. Outdoors, water, and family were all he needed to feel content.
Kevin was a lover of animals and all of his fur-babies were so lucky to have him. If possible to own a wolf (or a pack of them), he surely would have. Instead, he had to settle for showcasing his love of wolves with a great collection of wolf memorabilia.

If you ever needed a dart, bowling, or card-playing partner, Kevin was your guy. These were some of his favorite pastimes. But what he loved most was sitting around a bonfire, having a few drinks, and listening to music with family and friends.

Kevin is survived by his wife of 30 years, Stacey; Children: Kevin Jr. (Ashley), Shane, Kayla, Sabrina, Heaven, & Anthony; Sisters: Patti (Carl) Farino, Sheryl (Angie) Perlas, & Bunny (Karl) Gasko; Brothers: Richard (Carol), Walter (Heather), & Timmy (Laurie) Boyle; countless nieces & nephews, & 10 grandkids, with one on the way. He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy (Williams) & Carleton Boyle, & sister, Christine.

It is with unending love and profound sorrow we mourn the loss of Kevin D. Boyle. He will be greatly missed by so many, and his memory will forever be carried in the hearts of his loved ones.
