Kenneth Robinson Hutchings, 78, of Marcellus passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2023, in his home with his children and loving wife by his side. Kenneth was born in Roseburg, Oregon on October 31st, 1945 to Kenneth and Vivian Hutchings.
Ken was a devoted husband for 57 years, father for 55 years, grandfather for 28 years and great-grandfather for 2 years. Ken's last days were spent surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandson Cayden. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Hutchings, his three sons, Kenneth J. (Stacie) Hutchings, Kiehl (Kathryn) Hutchings, AJ (Allison) Watling and daughter Kristen (Mitch) Major; 13 grandchildren (Kevin, Kenny, Matthew, Mackenzie, Kiehl, Emma, Sarah, Connor, Benjamin, Ava, Charlie, Henry, Cora); 3 great-grandchildren (Jack, Phoebe, Beckham); brother, David (Cathy) Hutchings, and several nieces and nephews.
Ken was a man of great faith who was very dedicated to his church, Grace Chapel. He was a very hardworking and disciplined business owner for 20 years. Making many lasting impressions and friendships along the way. Nothing was more important to Ken than God, his family and his country. He absolutely adored spending time with family. A true joy of his was watching his children and grandchildren play sports. Cheering along for all to hear, beaming with pride every step of the way. Ken was an avid boater and loved spending time in the Thousand Islands with family. Spending many summers of his life flying his American Flag along the waters of the St. Lawrence.
A celebration of life will be held on November 16th, 2023 at 3:30 pm. Located at Grace Chapel, 1674 U.S. Rte 20, Skaneateles, NY 13152. There will be no calling hours. To honor Ken, the family would like to invite others to wear red, white or blue.
