Kenneth F. LaDuke, Jr., 89, of Cicero, passed away on Wednesday. Born in Syracuse, NY on Feb. 16, 1925 to Kenneth and Marie Eva LaDuke, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. After the war he went back to his job at Esso (Exxon) where he worked until he retired in 1975. Upon retirement he owned and operated his own Exxon Station for a few years in Central Square, NY. Not only did he work for Exxon but he was also a self employed painter, a job he enjoyed doing until his early 80's. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brewerton, NY.
He married Mabel Carleton in 1949 and they had 4 children and lived in Cicero, NY. Ken and Mabel enjoyed spending winters in Lakeland, FL during his retirement. They were married 54 years when in August 2003 he was predeceased by Mabel. He was also predeceased by 6 brothers and 1 sister.
He is survived by his daughter, Marie Berg of Oneida; son, Kenneth III (Gail) of Cicero, NY; daughter, Donna White (Paul) of Onondaga Hill, NY; son Danny of Durham, NC; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Arlene Manseau of Florida, Beverly Giangiobbe of Camillus, NY and Cecile Gillespie of Athens, TN.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Jan. 11th 2-4PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Services will be private.
