Kenneth E. "Ken" Dupre, 75, of Liverpool passed away on Thursday at the VA Medical Center after a long illness surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 25, 1941 son of the late Earl and Mary Dupre. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1958-63. Ken had military honors in the Marines and was a Presidential Guard and received the Purple Heart.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion. Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills. Ken adored spending time with his 2 great grandchildren; Ava & Annabelle and also his great grandson, Brady.
He was just predeceased 4 months ago by his beloved wife of 40 years Vera, 2 sons; John and Patrick.
Surviving are his daughter Darlene (Chuck) Thomas, 1 brother, Earl (Shirley) Dupre, 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and 3 nephews.
Ken will be deeply missed. He was an exceptional man who always put his family first.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
Services will be held on Tuesday 10am at the funeral home. Following services, burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery.
