Keene Sahm

Keene (Bud) Sahm, 85, of North Syracuse passed away Thursday at his home surrounded by his family after a brave struggle with cancer. Born in Utica, NY on May 19, 1923, he attended Fayetteville High. Bud was a WW II US Navy Veteran serving on the USS New Mexico in the Pacific. He worked many years for Interstate Brands and until his illness for Nojaim's Supermarket in Marcellus. Bud enjoyed spending time with his family, his dog Fletcher, gardening and traveling to Ocean City, MD and Atlantic City, NJ. Bud is predeceased by his wife Janet (Pikarsky) Sahm to whom he was married for 50 years.
He is survived by his son; Darryl (Anita) Sahm, daughters; Cynthia Sahm, Christine (Dave) Edmonds, sister; Evelyn Dawn Rudd, grandchildren; Brett Sahm, Karah Edmonds and several nieces and nephews.
At Buds' request, private services will take place at White Chapel Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St., Liverpool, NY.
