Katie Maxine Harrington, 92, of North Syracuse, passed away on April 7, 2022.

Katie was born in Ruleville, Mississippi on November 26, 1929 to the late Johnny and Oma Allday.

Katie worked for Onondaga County Department of Social Services for 25 years. She was a faithful member of the North Syracuse Baptist Church. Katie was very proud of her southern roots and made the best sweet potato pie in the world.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ned Harrington; and son, Gary Harrington.

She is survived by her son, Johnny (Penny) Harrington; daughter, Angela Lanzafame; grandchildren, Anthony Lanzafame, Nichole Lanzafame, Eric Harrington, Johnny Harrington Jr, Curtis (Morgan) Harrington; great grandchildren, Alexandria Feneran, Shannon Schuyler, Kathryn Harrington, Karlee Lanzafame, Samuel Lanzafame, Victoria Lanzafame, Alana Harrington, and Abigail Harrington; and four great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will take place April 14th, at 1pm, at Onondaga Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration or Alzheimer's Association.
