Kathryn, 85 of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Thursday. She was a lifelong resident of Syracuse. She graduated from Central High School in 1947. Kathryn was a veteran of the Women's Army Corps, serving from 1951-1953. She was a teacher at Detota Beauty School in the early '60's and later opened Horvath's Hairstyling in North Syracuse. She later worked at Dey Bros. Warehouse and Sweetheart Market.

Kathryn was predeceased by her parents, William and Minnie Pollard, her husband, Joseph, her sister, Betty and brother, Bill.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Janice) Horvath; her favorite grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael; along with several nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 3-5 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will be Monday, 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the North Syracuse Cemetery.
