Kathleen A. Waldby, 50, of Central Square, formerly of Waterville, passed away on Tuesday at home. She was born on August 16, 1963, in Waterville, daughter of James Kloster and Nancy McCabe Lewis. Kathy worked at the Mexico Transportation Dept. for several years. She was a life member of the Caughdenoy Vol. Fire Dept. for 27 years. Kathy put her family ahead of herself even in her 2 ½ year battle with cancer. Her strength will enable the family to transition to the next chapter of their lives. She was predeceased by her father, James.
Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Keith, 2 daughters: Kristin & Kaylee, mom, Nancy Lewis, 2 sisters: Donna (Kloster) Podeszek, Joanne (Kloster) DeStefano, 2 brothers: James & Richard Kloster, along with many nieces and nephews.
Service Saturday at 4:00PM, Calling hours on Saturday from 4:30-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Burial will be private at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Waterville.
Donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Friends of Oswego County Hospice, Inc., P.O. Box 102, Bridge St., Suite 202, Oswego, NY 13126, Make a Wish Foundation or to the daughters education fund, make checks payable to Keith Waldby, 158 Chesbro Rd., Central Square, NY 13036.
