Kathleen F. Saumier

Kathleen F. Saumier, 89, of Liverpool, NY, passed away on June 27, 2022. She was born on June 6, 1933 to the late Gordon and Kathryn Stickney in Saranac Lake, NY.

Kathleen raised five children, and was a stay at home mom until her youngest child went to school. After she became a Crossing Guard at St. Lucy's, and then she went on to be a Hall Monitor for Syracuse City School District at Fowler High School. She was active in the church volunteering her time. She also loved Bingo, playing cards and puzzles. She was a loving mother and caring grandmother and was adored by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

She was predeceased by her siblings Helen (Charles) McCarthy, Carol Murray, Gordon Stickney, Margaret (Lawrence) Snyder.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Ernest Saumier; children, Steven Saumier, Brenda Emling, Kevin (Theresa) Saumier, Kathy Saumier and Timothy (Miranda) Saumier; sister, Marie Niles of Iowa; sister- in-law, Dolly Stickney of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 with a graveside service the following morning on July 12, 2022 at 11:00am at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery with Father Jim Carrey presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to St. Lucy's Church at 432 Gifford Street, Syracuse, NY.
