Kathleen A. Rathbun

Kathleen A. Rathbun, 84 of North Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024. She was born on July 16, 1940 in Syracuse, NY to the late Peter and Elizabeth Sciortino.

 She graduated from St. Anthony of Padua School. Kathleen was a member of the Senior Club. She loved to crochet many blankets, which she donated to “newborns” at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

 She also loved gardening, fishing, baking Christmas cookies and her camp at Roosevelt Trailer Park on the St. Lawrence River. She worked at GE as a transistor production worker, a switchboard operator at AAA, a CSR for 18 years at Time Warner Cable, an usher for the Syracuse Chiefs, for the War Memorial and the Civic Center.

 She is survived by her children, Thomas E. (Jacqueline) Rathbun Jr., Michelle Daugard; grandchildren, Thomas, Kathleen (Justin), Michael (Kimberly), Nathan (Emma) and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Luke, Annabelle, Samuel, Connor and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Sr.; son, Steven; daughter, Karen and brother, Peter.

 Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 4-7pm. A Catholic Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse, 10am. Burial will take place at a later date.
