Kathleen A. Schilling

Kathleen A. Schilling, 56, of North Syracuse, passed away Thursday.

She is survived by her children, Marianne (Adam McCabe) Schilling- McCabe, of Philadelphia, PA, and Kirk Schilling, of Syracuse, NY; sister, Nancy Werbeck, of North Syracuse, NY; brother, Walter "Steve" Kolodziey, of Baldwinsville, NY; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Kathryn Kolodziey, and her sister, Martha Thompson.

Kathy was born and raised in North Syracuse, NY and graduated from North Syracuse Central High School. She then attended Onondaga Community College and received her Associate's in Accounting.

Kathy worked for Chrysler (New Process Gear) in the Traffic Department, retiring in 2006 after 30 years of service. She was also active in UAW Local 2149, serving as Treasurer for several years.

Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 16, at 10 am at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church (409 South Main Street, North Syracuse, NY). Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 15, from 5-7 pm at New Comer Funeral Home (705 North Main Street, North Syracuse, NY).

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Central New York SPCA (5878 East Molloy Road, Syracuse, NY 13211) in Kathy's name.
