Katherine M. Brown , 83, of Central Square, passed away on Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on May 16, 1929 in Syracuse daughter of Anthony and Julia Nadenko. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed bingo, cooking and spending time with her family. She retired from Walmart in Central Square.
Katherine was predeceased by her husband, of 50 years, Robert, a brother Frank and sister, Helen.
Surviving are 5 sons; Robert (Cheryl) Brown, Gary Brown (Ellen Elderbroom) , David Brown, Michael Brown (Michelle DeJohn), James (Daphne) Brown, 2 daughters; Christine (Kevin) Price, Linda (John) Kelly, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Mary Hilts, Jenny Bench, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse with services at 7pm.
