Karl H. Gasko, 67, took his "Last Ride" on July 8, 2023, at home, peacefully and privately surrounded by his immediate loved ones.
On Karl's time here on earth, he enjoyed many things. Working on cars as an old-school mechanic was one of his loves, although his most important job was to do his own version of "debate club," with his family and friends. As sick as he was, he was RIGHT, "debate club" continued. Karl was a man who would take the crowds in from the sidelines and stay out of the center of attention. That being said, he left his impression on many hearts. Karl's love of fishing, Dale Earnhardt Sr., practical jokes, tick-tock dance videos and oh yes, the hide and seek games with his grandchildren are just a few memories he left here on earth.
Karl was pre-deceased by his father, Ralph Gasko and his mother, Dolores Lewis.
Karl is survived by his wife, Bernice Gasko (Boyle); his son, Karl J. (Nikki) Gasko; his daughter, Kathy (Ryan) Gasko; grandchildren, Kristina Gasko, Justin Gasko, Ryan Sharpe Jr. and Bríella Sharpe; brother, Ralph Gasko; sister, Diane Geiss (Gasko); brother, John Norton; uncle and aunts William and Janice Arquette and Carolyn Lewis; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph's Hospital and Hospice of CNY for their care and comfort for Karl during his last ride.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 from 4-5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, with a funeral service to follow at 5pm.
