Karen Scott-Elsworth Sumner

Karen (Elsworth) Sumner, 78, of North Syracuse passed away after a brief illness on March 5, 2023. She was born to the late Ira and Helen Scott in Syracuse on March 2, 1945.
Karen was an equestrian and owned her own stable where she trained and cared for horses. She was an artist and enjoyed using an impressionist style. She attended art classes and showings. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. Most of all she was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was predeceased by her Parents, Ira and Helen Scott.
Karen is survived by her Children Bryan (Vickie) Elsworth and Kimberly (Kenneth) Ackerman; Grandchildren, Jennifer (Mathew) Shultes, Raymond (Julianna) Elsworth, Marissa Ackerman, Bradon Ackerman and Kristin Craner; and Great-Grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Grayson, Luca and Ariella; Siblings, Keith and Marsha; and Close Friend, Richard Sumner.
Close friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at 916 Riverside County Route 37, Central Square, NY on March 18, 2023 from 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
