Karen Marie (Gottschalk) Lormand, 37, of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday, surrounded by her family.
She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and niece. Karen enjoyed the outdoors which included camping, golfing and watching hockey. She spent many years in retail in automotive management. In her later life she was a "domestic goddess". She always had an optimistic and strong willed outlook on life.
She is predeceased by her mother, Joanne; three grandmothers, Jeanne May, Anna A. and Lois; grandfathers, Maynard Sr.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Michael Lormand; two daughters, Rayna Marie and Gabriella Skye; two stepdaughters, Ashley and Paige Lormand; father, Michael; a brother, Kenneth; special aunts, Michele Rita and Sherry; two grandfathers, Robert Talmadge and Elmer Bartlett; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephews.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 2-5PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 5PM.
