Karen L. House

Karen L. House, 65, of Weedsport, passed away September 17, 2023. Karen was born in Syracuse, New York on February 28, 1958 to Howard and Doris Amody. Karen worked at Unity House, Auburn , for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, bird watching and various arts and crafts. Karen had a green thumb; you name it, she could grow it. She was an avid reader, always taking the time to learn and grow her mind. Karen was a proud wife and mother that took great joy in caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Doris Amody; and sister, Kathy.

Karen is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Allen House; son, Jason Amody; siblings, Howie, DeDee, and twin brother Kenny; niece, Cathy; and nephews, Bobby, Lee, and David.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 12PM at Community Weslyan Church, 112 Downer St, Baldwinsville 13027. A gathering will take place in the spring to plant a bush in Karen's memory, placing her ashes back to God and nature, a space she found peace in.
