Justine A. Gilbert, 71 of North Syracuse passed away Saturday at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. A life resident of the Syracuse area and a graduate of Assumption School, she was a member of the Cicero Senior Center Young at Hearts Club. She is predeceased by her husband Robert S. Gilbert (1987) and a brother John Wilhelm.
She is survived by one son; Robert B. (Marjorie) Gilbert, two daughters; Justine P. (Terry) Gilbert-Garvey and Mary Alice (Paul) Stewart, two brothers; Henry and Fred Wilhelm, two sisters; Kate Schultz and Mary Jane Godlewski, grandchildren; James Patrick, Katie, MacKenzie Elizabeth and Robert Samuel and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital, Unit 1-8, 301 Prospect Ave, Syracuse, NY 13210.
