Junior A. Wright

Junior A. Wright, 82 of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025. Born on September 1, 1942 in Laurens, SC to Ruth Wright. 

He loved fishing, car racing and spending time with his family and friends. Junior and his wife, Betty were foster care givers and day care providers to many children. 

He is survived by his children, Corinthia Wright, Benny (Destiny) Wright and Destiny Gregory; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Predeceased by his wife, Betty Wright; daughter, Ruth Adair; siblings, Willie and Javan Wright.

Calling hours will be held at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, 2225 East Fayette Street, Syracuse, NY 13224 on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11:00am – 12:00pm with funeral services to follow. 

Internment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.

We will continue to honor and celebrate Junior at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church from 3pm – 6pm.
