June Y. Hile

June Y. Hile, 82 of East Syracuse passed away June 8, 2022. She was born in Syracuse, NY on June 23, 1939 to Gilbert and Francis Frappier. June worked at SSAC, Inc. for over 20 years and then retired from Kinney Drugs in Bridgeport where she worked as a Pharmacy Tech for 16 years.

She brought so much love and laughter to her family, friends and anyone lucky enough to know her. June was always the life of the party with her sense of humor. She was everyone's "Gramma June". You couldn't help feeling a little happier when she was near. Her smile, laugh and silly nature made you want to be around her. She often started conversations with complete strangers, and loved to make connections. June had a deep love for cats and enjoyed anything to do with them. She loved making her famous chocolate chip cookies and macaroni salad for gatherings. No one could ever make them like she could. The secret ingredient must have been her love.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Gilbert Frappier and her husband of 34 years, Raymond Hile.

She is survived by her sister, Millie (Frank) Catagnus; brother, Allen Hatch; daughter, Donna (Richard) Fortino; son, William (Maria) Hile; grandchildren: Chris (Tonya) Wilcox, James Wilcox (Renee Miller), Jenn (Justin) Zolnik, Mandi (Daryl) Hales, Meghan Barr, Melanie (Pete) Greeke, Kristin (Sarina) Barr and several great-grandchildren.

There will be no funeral services. Instead, in memory of June, gather with family and friends to raise a glass to this very special person, to remember all of the smiles and laughs she gave us all.
