June Evelyn (Timmins) Bowen, died Easter Sunday at Upstate Medical surrounded by family. She was 88 years old; born February 17, 1925. She was predeceased by her husband, William Bowen and her parents, Eldred and Marion Timmins.
She is survived by her brother, Jack Timmins; sister, Shirley Wright; and her beloved children, Dave Dawley, Ric Gill, Bob and Gina Dawley, Bryan and Shirley Wilbur, Diane D'Andrea, John and Carol Wilbur, Jim and Sue Wilbur; and her nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was a long time member of Fairmount Community Church. With voice and piano she entertained anyone who cared to listen, bringing laughter and joy into so many lives. She rose to dance with old friends, leaving many, who still love her, to celebrate the memory of a free-spirited, strong, loving mother. She was a woman so full of life, it burst from her. Her song has not ended, it has just begun…
Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 7PM, at the funeral home. Burial services will be celebrated on Saturday, 11AM at Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY.
