Juliane Walczyk

March 24, 1926 — November 19, 2016

Juliane "Golde" Walczyk, 90, of Liverpool, NY passed away Saturday, November 19th at St. Camillus Nursing Home.

She died peacefully after a month long battle with cancer. She was born and married in Mannheim, Germany to American G.I., the late Phil Walczyk, and has lived in New York since 1949. She was a retiree of HSBC bank.

Juliane (Oma) will be fondly remembered as a loving, caring, positive personality with a healthy sense of humor. An avid bridge player for over 50 years, her name often appeared in the newspaper with her winning results.

Survived by her loving family, sons Brian (Sally) of Chapin SC and Bruce (Ester) of New Hartford. She is also survived by grandsons Kurt of Liverpool, and Mark (Stacey) and great granddaughter Ivy Anne of Pulaski. Also grandsons Herbert (Melissa) and great grandsons Warren and Wayden of Singapore, Harvey of NYC and granddaughter Nellie (Vasco) of NJ.

Calling hours will be Friday, November 25th from 4:00 to 6:00 at the New Comer FH, 705 Main St, North Syracuse.

Interment will follow Saturday at 10:30 in Assumption Cemetery.

She will be deeply missed and left us with many sweet memories.
