Judith A. (Halbritter) Van Riper, 79, of Jamesville, passed away peacefully on Monday after a brief illness.
She was a longtime employee and retired from General Electric. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking. Judith was devoted to her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Van Riper and a daughter, Kathleen Marie Shannon.
Judith is survived by four children, Deborah (John) Jacobs of Colorado, Charles G. (Dria) Shannon, Jr. of Liverpool, Barbara Horton of North Dakota and Elizabeth Mahle of Virginia; five step-children, Fred Van Riper of Connecticut, Bill (Nina) Van Riper of Liverpool, Michael (Wendy)Van Riper of Jamesville, Steve (Maria) Van Riper of East Syracuse and Richard (Susannah) Van Riper of Virginia and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
