June 29, 1943 — February 7, 2024
Juan Rivera, 80, of Syracuse, NY passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Juan was born in Puerto Rico to the late Josefina and Rafael Rivera. He retired from St. Joseph's Hospital after 38 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Rivera; sons, Juan Rivera, Jr. of Syracuse, Rafael F. Rivera of Syracuse, Felipe Irizarry of Syracuse, Estavan Irizarry of Syracuse and Juan A. Rivera of Bronx; daughters, Raquel Schell of Liverpool, Maria Sepulveda of North Carolina; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Juan was known for his gardens. He loved to dance, cook and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In keeping with Juan's wishes, no services will be held. Please plant a tomato plant in his memory.
