Joyce Mary Wetmore

Joyce M. Wetmore, 85, of Liverpool, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025. 

Joyce was born in the Town of Harrisburg, NY on November 26, 1939 to the late Russell and Mary (Maciejko) Terrillion. 

She graduated from Copenhagen Central Schools in 1957. She married Daniel A. Wetmore in 1959 in a double wedding ceremony with her twin sister Jannette and the late Charles O'Brien at St. Peter's Church in Lowville, NY.

Joyce retired in 1999 after 35 years of service with Crouse-Hinds/Cooper Industries. She loved travel, crafts, decorative painting, teaching, and volunteering. She was a member of the Society of Decorative Painters—Leatherstocking region, Liverpool Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, Civic Social Club of Greater Syracuse, St. Daniel Wisdom People, the Crouse-Hinds Retirement Club, and the Quarter Century Club.

She is survived by her daughters, Janine (Mark) Wetmore Bishop of Cicero and Lisa Gabbard of Austin, TX; twin sister Jannette O’Brien of Lowville; granddaughter, Samantha Gabbard; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her husband Daniel Wetmore; her siblings Alice Colomaria, Hubert Terrillion and John Terrillion. 

Calling hours will be from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2025 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. 

A private burial will take place in the spring at Lowville Rural Cemetery.
