Joyce Eileen Smith, 74, of North Syracuse, was reunited in Heaven with her daughter, Sarah on Thursday. She was born in Flint, Michigan on March 4, 1946 daughter of the late Jacob and Marion Lehr.
Joyce loved being around her family. She also enjoyed traveling, arts & crafts, photography and the Christmas Holiday. Joyce served as a Deaconess at North Syracuse Baptist Church.
Joyce is survived by her husband, David, daughter, Cheryl (Douglas) Filson, Amy (Matthew) Carlino, son, Phillip (Mary-Beth) Smith, grandchildren, Abigail Filson, Caleb (Marissa) Filson, Katherine Filson, Marissa Carlino, Joel Carlino, Brandon Veilleux, Brook Seymour, Josalyn Seymour, Jalen Seymour, Ian & his father Will Gray, great grandchildren, Caiden, Jobii, Alba, Eshaun, Mayson, sister, Carol (Edward) Koehler, brother, Jack (Ana) Lehr, along with nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Sarah Seymour.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 1pm at the North Syracuse Baptist Church, 420 S. Main St., N. Syracuse.
