Joyce M. Cherney, 71, of Baldwinsville, passed away on Wednesday at Van Duyn Hospital. She was born on May 29, 1940 in Syracuse. On July 3, 1959 she was married to Richard C. Cherney, Sr. in San Antonio, TX. Joyce enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching and boating.
She is survived by her husband, Richard, Sr., daughter, Kim (David) Wightman, step grandchildren; Heather and Christopher Wightman, son, Richard (Robin) Cherney, Jr., two grandchildren, Taylor and Jordan Cherney.
Services will be held on Saturday 5pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 3-5pm at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to your local MS Chapter.
