Joyce A. Fleegel

Joyce A. Fleegel, 88, of Cicero, passed away at home on Saturday with her family by her side. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a founding member of NAVAC, member of North Chittenango and South Bay Fire Department Auxilarries and secretary of the Empire State Fire and Rescue.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Ronald and Fred Russell and granddaughter, Carrie Anne Cook.

Joyce is survived by her husband and dance partner of 63 years, Ernest J.; daughter, Bonnie (Peter) Gallauresi; sons, Victor Dean, Ronald (Karen) Dean, John (D'Nan) Dean, David (Lynn) Dean and Ernest (Mary Anne) Fleegel; sister, Beverly Reif; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and her loving dog, Shelby.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 23rd 12pm-3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday 11am in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Dewitt. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of CNY or Fyler Community Church.
