Joyce D. Edinger, 78, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday at University Hospital surrounded by family. She was born July 26, 1933 in Warwick, RI daughter of Harold and Ruth Scott. She enjoyed working at Van Duyn Nursing Home as a RN Supervisor for over 25 years. She enjoyed her family, her pets Melvin & Kat and watching old TV shows.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Edinger, a sister, Carol Scott, 2 sons; Harold Edinger and Robin Blain.
She is survived by brother, Gerald Scott, children; Ruth Paul, Henry Edinger, Carol Edinger, 6 grandchildren; Robyn, Steven, Jimmy, Matthew, Mhari and Abbie.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Graveside service will be held on Saturday 11am at Pawtuxet Memorial Park in Warwick, RI.
