Joyce H. Coutu

Joyce H. Coutu, 92, of North Syracuse, passed away March 3, 2024. Joyce was born in Moores Hill, New York on July 29, 1931 to William and Julia Kenny. She was one of eleven children and the true matriarch of the family. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and was an avid Yankee and Syracuse basketball fan.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas in 1995.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Theresa) Coutu, Lynda Coutu-Gieselman (Daniel) and James Coutu; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held, Thursday March 7, 2024 from 4-7PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning at 10:00AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. Entombment will be made in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
