Joyce B. Heaney, 83, of Syracuse and formerly of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on Tuesday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Senior Center in Phoenix. She worked at Syracuse University in the cafeteria for 10 years.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Blanche and James Heaney and 2 older brothers, James Jr. and John.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Janet (Kermit) Carr and Blanche (David) Mosher; 1 brother, Thomas (Kathleen) Heaney; a special goddaughter, Loreen Kreizinger; many nieces and nephews and many grand-nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Tuesday 12PM at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery.
