Josephine Laviola, a beacon of joy and warmth, passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on October 26, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA, she brought sunshine into the lives of everyone she met.

Josephine lived her life with an infectious spirit, always talkative and happy, inspiring those around her to embrace the beauty each moment. Her laughter and vibrant conversations were like music, bringing comfort and joy to family and friends. She had an extraordinary gift for making others feel valued and cherished.

She is survived by her beloved son, David Laviola, whose life was profoundly enriched by her unwavering love and support. Josephine will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Maria Johnson of Syracuse, Jean Hammond of Syracuse, Tracy Raymond of Syracuse, and Theresa Ladd of Las Vegas, NV, as well as Christine Aubrey of St. Petersburg, FL, all of whom shared countless cherished memories with her. Her granddaughter, Allison Laviola, was a source of immense pride and joy for Josephine, and their bond was truly special. In addition, she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry her love forward in their hearts.

Josephine is reunited in spirit with her father and her beloved siblings, sister Donna and brother Gussy. Her light will forever shine in the hearts of her late grandson, Kyle Laviola, who she loved dearly.

Her passing leaves a void in our lives, but we are eternally grateful for the laughter, love, and endless conversations that will forever resonate in our memories. Josephine’s legacy of joy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
