Josephine V. Galuski

March 7, 1931 — May 6, 2022

Josephine V. Galuski, 91, of Cicero passed away peacefully on May 6, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Rome, NY, to the late Frank and Victoria Stachelek.

She spent her life lovingly taking care of her family. As a young girl, she suffered from hearing loss that progressively worsened over her lifetime. In her later years, she began to lose her eyesight due to macular degeneration. She kept her independence, even with all of her challenges, and she never complained. She was kind, grateful, generous and caring. She made all around her feel special. Most important, she made it known how much she loved everyone in her life.

Josephine was predeceased by her Husband of 53 years, Henry Galuski; Sons, Joseph (Nancy) Galuski, and Michael Galuski; and Siblings, Helen Richards, Dorothy Armstrong, and Richard (Barbara) Stachelek.

She is survived by her Daughters, Dianne (Jim) Griffith and Donna (Todd) Cosgrove; Grandchildren, Carrie (Mike) Masto, Jessica (Ryan) Nytz, David (Nicole) Galuski, Evan Griffith, Erinn and Ian Cosgrove; and six great-grandchildren.

At Josephine's request, no services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made in Josephine's name to Christopher Community Inc. (990 James Street Syracuse, NY 13203), or another charity of your choice.
