Josephine C. McCall, 95, passed away on Wednesday at the Francis House with her loving family by her side.
Josephine was born on March 8, 1921 in Athens, Georgia. She graduated from North Carolina College with a BS Degree. She was a Baseileus of the Syracuse Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She retired from New York State Employment Services. She was predeceased by her husband M/Sgt.Andrew McCall and her daughter, Laura Bullock.
Josephine is survived by her sons, Charles B. Hunter, Andrew (Lisa) McCall, her daughters, Karen McCall, Lisa Pope-Jones, grandchildren; Jeanine, Jene, Jonte, Jackie, Corrie, Justin, Jonathan, along with many great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 10-12pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Francis House.
