Josephine Burnette, 81 of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 9, 2023. Born on January 1, 1942 in Collesano, Italy to the late Antonino and Rosa Muscarella.
She loved animals, especially her cat, Delilah, cooking, music and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Josie (Mark) Bloss; grandson, Mark II; sister, Nancy Oriend sister-in-law, Rita Muscarella and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her husband, Frederick Burnette and her son, Anthony Wilmot.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 9-11am. Funeral services will follow at 11am. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SPCA of CNY.
