Joseph A. Winters, 73, of Bernhards Bay, passed away June 1, 2022. Joseph was born in Syracuse, NY on April 5, 1949 to Otis and Mary Winters.
Joseph retired from DPW in Syracuse where he worked for 37 years. He enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, traveling and received his black belt in martial arts. He loved riding motorcycles and driving tractor trailers. He was a family man who enjoyed having his family around him all the time, going out for breakfast with friends, and was a real joker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Otis Winters; Brother, John Winters; and Sisters, Karen LaGrange and Deborah Cavanaugh.
He is survived by his Wife of years, Irene Winters, Three Daughters, Tina Winters, Tammy Winters, Johanna (Adam) Kelly; Two Step-Sons, Noah Kelley, Chuck Kelley; Two Step-Daughters, Londa Kelley, Cherie Armstrong; Seven Grandsons, BillyJoe (Kimberly) Barton, Joshua (Lexi) Barton, Cody Barton, Ronny McClusky, Joseph Winters, Jordan Haynes, Jason Kelly; Two Granddaughters, Mary Winters, Isabella Kelly; Three Great-Grandchildren, BillyJoe Barton, Jr., Coraline Barton, Leilanni McClusky; and several more Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.
Family and friends may call on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse, where funeral services will be held Friday at 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Strong Memorial Liver Transplant Unit. Make to "Transplant Patient Needs Fund" at:
