Joseph L. Vereen Jr.

Joseph L. Vereen, Jr., 34, lifelong resident of Newark, New Jersey, went home to be with the Lord on May 24th. Joseph graduated from Hillside High School in Hillside, New Jersey. He attended Union County College and Union County Vocational Technical School where he was awarded a full scholarship to Johnson and Wales. He served as a Reverend in the city of Newark, New Jersey.

Joseph was predeceased by his father, Joseph L. Vereen, Sr and grandmother, Margaret Vereen.

He is survived by his mother, Clairice Gray; siblings, Shaliyah Ali, Sa'fee Gray, Kreisha Gray, Malachi Vereen and Christopher Flack; 6 nieces and nephews; aunt, Patricia Bouie; cousin, Rehea Dayes and a host of other cousins and friends.

Please respect the family wishes, we are asking to please remember Joseph as you knew him. There will be no funeral services.
