Joseph A. Smith, 65, of Hastings, passed away April 4, 2017.
Joseph was born in Syracuse, New York on March 31, 1952 to the late Allen and Gloria Smith-Plopper.
Joseph retired from Crouse Hinds with 31 years of service. He was an avid sportsman and a member of the Elks Lodge as well as IBEW Local 43.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his step-father Joseph Plopper; He is survived by Wife, Catherine J. Smith, Son, Michael J. Smith, Brothers, Allen Smith, Kevin Smith, Marty Smith, Sisters, Mary Kemp, Debbie Smith, Judy Koegel, Susan Miller,Shelly Reed, Aunt, Liz Hart and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, from 4-6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main, North Syracuse.
